The National Study about the Use TICs in the University Programmes for Older Adults has been made in the framework of the State Association of University Programmes for Older Adults (AEPUM in Spanish). The University of A Coruña as a member university that has participated in this mentioned research, and organizes through the Senior University and in collaboration with AEPUM, this Conference in which we present the study “THE USE OF TICs IN THE UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADUTLS”, and its more conclusive data in the national scope, as well as the results obtained for the group of State Universities of the Galician Community.

The next Sunday 14th of December is taking place the 5th HEALTHY WALK, organised by the University of Valencia, specifically by the NAU GRAN programme.

More than 600 hundred enrolled people in this edition will make a journey that will take us through the old bed of the River Turia, from the Botanical Garden to the Square of the “Rectorat”, where we will enjoy a “healthy lunch”.

The Healthy Walk is a familiar meeting, intergenerational, which aims to kindly claim the importance of the older adult's involvement in our society. Is an active but not competitive walk where people will be able to share public spaces, specially green areas. This initiative was created in 2010 by the NAU GRAN, the university programme for adults older than 50 years of the University of Valencia, and it has been consolidated in the official calendar of Valencia. From the start, it connects some university spaces with the “Rectorat” of the UV (first was from “Tarongers”, then from the historical building of the University of Valencia in La Nave/st), this year is the third time that it starts from the Botanical Garden, goes through the garden located in the old bed of the River Turia, and gets to the garden centre “Viveros” to finish in the Charles Darwin Square of the “Rectorat”.

Presentation of the study carried out by AEPUM in which 43 Universities with Programs for Older Adults, including the University of Burgos, have participated. It has the financial support of DORO, leading company in the sector of communication technologies adapted to seniors. Once the results are obtained, educational and technological development necessities will be drawn in order to be able to offer services and products adapted to their necessities.

The conference organised by the University of Seville and the Spanish National Association of University Programmes for Older Adults will have as an object the development of the Conference “The importance of the ICTs in the Aula de la Experiencia of the University of Seville” and then, it will be introduced the “National Study: Use of ICTs at University Programmes for Older Adults”.

The Aula de Formació Sènior +50 (Classroom of Senior Education +50) of Universitat de Girona (University of Girona) invites to the inauguration of the course of the Aula Sènior +50 (Classroom Senior +50), that will have as a cardinal feature a ceremony of homage to mister Josep Torrellas i Vendrell, Delegate of the Dean and founder of the programme Formació per a Majors de 50 Anys (Education to +50 Older Adults), until the last 29th of November when he left us, and member of the Board of Directors of AEPUM since its creation in 2004 to November of 2012.
