Jury meeting where the 4th "ADORACIÓN HOLGADO SÁNCHEZ" RESEARCH AWARD OF THE SPANISH NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADULTS 2017 has been awarded, held on Thursday 19th of October 2017 at 17:00, in the ROMERO DE LEMA Conference room, 6th floor of the Pontifical University of Salamanca, located on nº5 Compañía Street, Salamanca, 37002.

Members of the Jury:

•       Spokesperson: José Manuel Sánchez Caro, former Rector at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (1989-1998).

•       Spokesperson: Concepción Bru Ronda, University of Alicante.

RESULTS OF THE "ADORACIÓN HOLGADO SÁNCHEZ" RESEARCH AWARD OF THE SPANISH NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADULTS 2017”,

unanimously, the Jury grants the AWARD to the project entitled:

MUSICALLY EDUCATIONAL LEISURE IN UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADULTS IN SPAIN. PRESENCE AND TYPOLOGY IN AEPUM'S UNIVERSITIES, submitted by MERCEDES ALBAINA HERNÁNDEZ. University of Deusto.

The Jury agrees to grant the award to said project in accordance with the criteria of: its presentation, clarity, originality, relevance, employed methodology, novelty and applicability to university programmes for older adults.

We have published today the 4th edition of the “Spanish National Association of University Programmes for Older Adults Research Award 2017” and the call is open until the 15th September 2017.

This award was created in the academic year 2013-2014 and has as its aim to honour the best research works dedicated to any of the topics related to the objectives and interests developed from the Association. The Prize constitutes the recognition that AEPUM grants to those researchers who devote their efforts to the search for innovative solutions which can favour lifelong learning as a way to enhance seniors’ quality of life.

We inform to AEPUM professors and researchers that the call is open according the following terms: 4TH EDITION CALL OF THE “SPANISH NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADULTS RESEARCH AWARD 2017”.

The jury, unanimously, delivers the award to the project with the title: “LA IMPLICACIÓN EN ACTIVIDADES EDUCATIVAS FORMALES EN LA VEJEZ Y SU RELACIÓN CON INDICADORES PSICOLÓGICOS Y SOCIALES: UN ANÁLISIS CON ESTUDIANTES DEL AULA DE LA EXPERIENCIA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE HUELVA”, submitted by S. MENÉNDEZ ÁLVAREZ-DARDET (Huelva University) and J. PÉREZ-PADILLA (Jaen University).

TERMS OF THE CALL

In accordance with its Statutes, AEPUM has as its essential goal to promote educational programmes for older adults at a university level, contributing to the formative and cultural development of senior citizens. In this context, the AEPUM RESEARCH AWARD was created in the year 2013-14 with an annual regularity for the distinction of the best research works carried out concerning some of the topics related to the objectives and interests developed in the association.  The Prize constitutes the recognition that the National Association of University Programmes for Older Adults grants to those researchers who devote their efforts to the search for innovative solutions which can favour lifelong learning as a way to enhance seniors’ quality of life.
