E-learning platforms allow people to attend a course virtually (also known as 'on-line'), with no distance or time limitations. This is a major advantage, since it implies that more people can access new educational opportunities.

This type of education must be designed with great care, creating materials that will allow on-line submission, as well as activities where students can participate synchronously (that is, on-demand). Furthermore, this education method lacks the ways of communication we are used to (non-verbal communication, for instance), making it harder to provide those competencies that require the students' physical presence. The case of senior students additionally demands the use of adequate teaching methods that will take into account motivation, experience and abilities.

Jury meeting where the 4th "ADORACIÓN HOLGADO SÁNCHEZ" RESEARCH AWARD OF THE SPANISH NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADULTS 2017 has been awarded, held on Thursday 19th of October 2017 at 17:00, in the ROMERO DE LEMA Conference room, 6th floor of the Pontifical University of Salamanca, located on nº5 Compañía Street, Salamanca, 37002.

RESULTS OF THE "ADORACIÓN HOLGADO SÁNCHEZ" RESEARCH AWARD OF THE SPANISH NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADULTS 2017”,

unanimously, the Jury grants the AWARD to the project entitled:

MUSICALLY EDUCATIONAL LEISURE IN UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADULTS IN SPAIN. PRESENCE AND TYPOLOGY IN AEPUM'S UNIVERSITIES, submitted by MERCEDES ALBAINA HERNÁNDEZ. University of Deusto.

The Jury agrees to grant the award to said project in accordance with the criteria of: its presentation, clarity, originality, relevance, employed methodology, novelty and applicability to university programmes for older adults.

The University for Older Adults of the University Jaume I, organizes in Castellón, 17^th, 18^th and 19^th of May 2017, the V International Seminar for Older Adults and New Technologies.

Tthe new innovations, experiences, tools and researches relatives to the older adults and new technologies will be presented from an interdisciplinary approach: digital inclusion, society, quality of life, education, integration, technology, legislation, health and security.

Organized by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), the 10^th edition of the Senior International Summer School has as title "The magic of travelling".

From the 3^rd to the 9^th of September 2016, in Mallorca, it will take place the Summer University organized by the UIB-UOM and it will cover contents related with diverse aspects of the travels: the experience of travelling and the tourist impact, through theoretical and practical approaches.
