DECEASE AND FUNERAL OF DR CRISTINA CIVERA MOLLÁ, DIRECTOR OF THE NAU GRAN PROGRAMME OF THE UVEG

Today, 18th November 2014, Dr. Cristina Civera Mollá, Director of the NAU GRAN Programme of the University of Valencia and member of the AEPUM Management Board, has passed away.

From AEPUM we are appalled at this unexpected and devastating news.

May she rest in peace.

The funeral will take place tomorrow 18th November at 12:00 h in the funeral parlour of Massanassa in Valencia.

International Conference OBSERVAL 2015 – Professional Qualifications and Accreditation of Competences

JURY’S AWARDS “STATE ASSOCIATION RESEARCH AWARD OF UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES FOR OLDER ADULTS 2014”

The jury, unanimously, delivers an EX AEQUO award to the projects submitted at the call with the input record numbers 1 and 6, and according to the scale criteria based on clarity, originality, relevance, methodology used, innovation, and applicability of the research works presented at the university programmes for older adults.

UIB-UOM CALLS THE INTERNATIONAL SUMMER UNIVERSITY FOR OLDER ADULTS 2014

The University of the Balearic Islands arranges a new edition of the International Summer University for Older Adults, in its 7th edition. It will take place from the 7th to the 13th of September in Majorca, with the title of “A journey through the water in Majorca”.

This is an encounter that every year gathers students from different European countries. The working language of the seminary is English.

Means of communication of international reach echo the training for older adults in the scope of the PUMPs

The documentary “Coming back to class after 50”, which reviews the history and the present of the University Programmes for Older Adults, appears in the Cinco Días and El País newspapers.

Documentary Abstract

The pleasure of knowledge, the craving for learning, the need for interacting or recycling oneself professionally, a postponed desire… All of them are powerful reasons that push many people who have surpassed the 50 years old to come back to university or to enroll for the first time. In Spain there are currently more than 41.000 senior students in the different courses that the universities for older adults offer, taken in under the umbrella of the public ones, and also of some private ones, distributed around all the national territory.

"ACTIVE AGEING AND INTERGENERATIONAL SOLIDARITY IN EUROPE” NEW IMSERSO WEBSITE

The Imserso is providing continuity to the Web and the sites created on account of the European Year of Active Ageing and the Intergenerational Solidarity, 2012. They inform thus AEPUM that this is the new Imserso website which will approach those issues from now onwards: “Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity in Europe”. Also the Facebook and Twitter accounts are in process of adaptation.
