CONTENT
Specific objectives:
1) Recognizing psycho-pedagogical and psycho-evolutionary characteristics of students of University Programs for Older Adults in Spanish University (both adults and older adults, usually over 50 years old).
2) Relating such characteristics with general pedagogical theories and methodologies that help to better understand the learning process of this population sector (Andragogy).
3) Recognizing the different educational methods that can be used to improve the education of students of University Programs for Older adults, putting special emphasis on the current ones in the area of cooperative and collaborative learning.
4) Deepening in the different educational resources that can be used to improve education of students of University Programs for Older Adults, especially for those that come from the New Information and Communications Technologies (multimedia systems of management and showing of information, computer resources of information, virtual campuses, etc.).
5) Assessing competences, abilities and skills that should be present at the teaching of University Programs for Older Adults, especially those related to social and digital competences and those related to the idea of “learn to learn”, all of them directed to help to improve the quality of life of this population sector.
6) Analyzing the different didactic methods which have been put into practice in University Programs for Older Adults, stressing those ones meaning the improvement of teaching these competences.
7) Establishing advice to improve the teaching activity of professors specialized in teaching University Programs for Older adults, especially in the area of teaching competences.
