CONTENT
Goal: Detect the educative needs and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the University Education for Older Adults in Castilla y León. Identify and know the constituent elements and the characteristics that correlate better university education for older adults with promoting active aging; and contribute to determine innovative approaches to manage its quality, promote the joining and participation of the public administrations, universities and older adults.
Design: experimental, comparative and of research and action.
Field of study: Castilla y León.
Subjects of study: People older than 55 years and university programs for older adults in Castilla y León.
Used tools: The collection of data will be carried out by creating and validating a questionnaire, making interviews, having debate groups and developing field studies.
Conclusions: This study will determine the predominant characteristics and tendencies in university education for older adults, the needs and educative expectations of older adults in a national and regional context; the profile, strengths and weaknesses of the education programs for older adults in Castilla y León. The good practice will be identified and analyzed and strategies and innovative approaches will be designed for their management, promoting the joining and participation of the institutions.
