The UJI’s University for Older Adults starts a European Project to promote the reuse of knowledge as an added value service.

The meeting to start the project took place on December the 11th and 12th at the UJI. The University for Older Adults of the Universitat Jaume I has started the European of educational innovation project CLEARErasmus+, along with other 6 European organizations and which has a duration of 28 months.

The “Resources for the formation and reuse of knowledge in a circular economy” project (also CLEAR) aims to meet the European Union’s priorities of promoting entrepreneurship and competitiveness through the design of training materials, promoting the circular economy through servitization.

CLEAR project aims to create courses and online tools to facilitate the acquisition of skills and abilities at different educational levels: university, business training, training for trainers… in a flexible and adaptive way. Thus, it will be possible that both employees and students, in their organizations as well as in learning groups, can explain the hidden and tacit knowledge and experience with each other, and can be reused by other people and organizations in different levels, both horizontally and vertically, that is, between people or students of the same level within an organization, as of different levels or in an intergenerational learning.

In this way, knowledge can be understood as a service, as if it were an offered product. UJI’s University for Older Adults, as coordinator of the project, will have the responsibility of the direction in the creation of the digital tool that will be used by educational institutions in their courses, and the accomplishment of the pilot tests.
