Content
1. To strengthen the promising future of the University Programmes for Older Adults we need to find new funding methods that allow to consolidate active programmes and ensure its sustainability. It is considered appropriate to diversify the funding methods, because that will help to sustain and make these programmes independent.
2. Highlight the great involvement of seniors, former students of different universities, with proposals that respond to the question "And then, what?".
Among the proposals we emphasize:* Boosting the learning autonomy of seniors. * Integrate seniors in other university activities apart from class, such as, for example, research. * Encourage the partnership that means that students can give back to society what they have received in these programmes.
3. Regarding the cultural and scientific duty of university towards society, we believe that the university campus must broaden its scope from urban space. This means, to somehow facilitate the experience classrooms and University Programmes for Older Adults' mobility to the rural area, with didactic and pedagogical proposals that allow to overcome the obstacles of living in some areas, because the right to lifelong learning is just as, if not more, essential as in urban areas (principle of equal opportunities).
4. The need to keep analyzing and discussing the multiple matters generated by the University Programmes for Older Adults makes essential to hold these National Meetings that are very profitable and benefit all.
5. We accept the proposal of the University of Seville to become the host of the Fourth Meeting.
