Brief description:
Sen Train is an experimental project for the older adults to be able to teach others the Information and communications technology.
It is about creating pedagogic tools to train future teachers.
In its methodology, using surveys, the project researchs the needs of training future teachers. The data gathered in our university environment for older adults have given us a very positive perspective of the ICT thanks to the general educative context that promotes the use of the computer and the Internet, in particular in the program of the Universitat per a Majors.
The goals of SenTrain are:
- Improve the skill of the older adults to share knowledge.
- Attract more older adults and help them become familiar with the profits of the ICT.
- Effective training of other older adults in the use of new technologies meeting the requirenments of the group and the gender differences.
- Stimulate and promote active life as a training factor for the third age.
- Contribute to the improvement of the quality of the courses offered by the teachers of the third age according to the equality conditions of the organization of teachers of the third age.
