CONTENT
The current action is found within University Training for Older Adults and in the framework of the program of the Permanent University of the University of Alicante. The main target people are older adults aged 50 years old, and the specific aims of this educational project focus on:
• Deepening on the democratization of knowledge, compensation of inequalities, social integration and participation of older adults in society, promoting intra- and intergenerational relationships that contribute to keep quality of life, together with the opening and diversification of options to continue with an active life in non-work-related contexts.
• Trying to contribute to the continuous adaptation process of older adults to fast changes that characterize our days, and specifically to the adaptation of older adults to technological and scientific changes of the 21st Century in order to minimize their social and cultural exclusion.
• Providing the chance to share knowledge and experiences by the interaction of different work groups in order to acquire new experiences that strengths the usefulness of each participant in society and their own feedback of the education system through people already trained and expert.
The specific aims of the action are: intensifying training and informative actions of the Permanent University program related to the field of Experimental Sciences through specific actions of scientific and technological spreading that allow the increase of social interest in the knowledge of sciences in an informative, practical and attractive way.
