Aims
The OUTDOOR ICT project aims at facing the new challenges set out by the European Union, thereby providing citizens with the opportunity to get involved thanks to the experience of the institutions in the fields of adult training, health promotion and the ICTs. All this must be done adapting knowledge as a whole to the needs of people over 45, a wide and diverse collective who are unaware of the personal and social opportunities these practices offer.
Aims:
- To look into the needs of the diverse collective that are the target of the project.
- To provide people over 45 with new opportunities that will help them to gain more knowledge about the ICTs.
- To apply the acquired skills through the ICTs so as to promote new ways of life.
- To overcome the intergenerational gap in the field we study.
- To share the experiences of partners and participants.
Content
In this sense, the association intends to carry out a knowledge promotion programme about places of interests of the country and the rest of countries belonging to the association through geocaching activities, this way promoting the exchange of experiences and teaching materials.
In order to achieve these goals, a series of steps will be followed to lead us to concrete results:
- Research by means of quantity and quality methods that will answer to the questions brought up above. This will be done together with an analysis of the status of the issue (SOTA) for later applications to the activities that are to be implemented.
- Development of the ICTs in relation with outdoor experiences based on geocaching, thereby encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Likewise, geocaching activities develop knowledge at individual and collective level and the enhancement of the environmental and historic-artistic heritage.
- In the first stage, each partner will implement the suggested activities locally, later promoting communication and the exchange of the participants’ results through the international meetings.
