CONTENT
The aging of the European population is a problem that we have to face. People older than 50 years need to keep fit and active, both physically and mentally, to be able to continue in the labor market and to have quality of life. This can be achieved by increasing the physical, mental and social activity, as well as having an adecuate diet. The Project KIFLI focuses on the promotion of the physical activity, giving priority to the Permanent Learning Grundtvig “Teaching-Learning during maturity; intergenerational learning and in family”. The project is aimed at those older adults that want to preserve their health and activity and at the teachers that can help them reach those goals. By using a constructivist pedagogical strategy, the project will start from the older adult's previous experiences and knowledge about physical activity, allowing them to define their own criteria, interests and way of learning new activities. With the help of the experts, the older adults will be able to:
- Identify their present capacities and their needs regarding physical activity.
- Learn methods to check the physical condition and improve it in a controlled way.
- Get motivated to develop physical activities regularly.
- Learn new movements.
- Get involved in Social Networks at both a local and European level.
- Explore new ways of learning using sports.
