CONTENT
The main purpose of this project is to explore the education with ICT's for people older than 45 years with a multidisciplinary approach. Some of the current key questions are: (a) How can these people fit in the present ICT scenario regarding the new ways of organizing work, the new labor market niches or the civic commitment?, (b) How can they be encouraged to have a greater working life as professionals and volunteers?, or (c) What pedagogic methods and practices can be developed in order to achieve that? The three main pillars of this research are the following:
1) What does this population want to learn about the ICTs to improve its skills and prolong its working life?
2) What pedagogic methods do our partners use?
3) Are these methods effective with our students?
The participants from 6 European institutions will research about these questions together and will share experiences and ideas about teaching methods and technics, as well as contents related to the ICTs for this part of the population. The research's methodology will be based mainly on questionnaires. Besides, the different exchange visits will facilitate the mutual knowledge of the different teaching technics, helping to improve the teaching practices. One of the main aspects of this project is that the students will have an active role in reaching its purpose. The participation of the students in the exchange visits and their regular contact on the Internet will allow them to find the topics of common interest that will enrich our perception of the present situation.
