CONTENT

To carry out an exhaustive analysis and evaluation of teaching programs specialized for older adults which are offered in Spanish university and are taught under the name of University Studies for Older Adults.

The objectives are:

• Checking training levels of students who demand this training

• Assessing new education needs of the older population in Spain

• Explaining the present reality of university education of older adults in Spain according to academic content, methodology and teaching, management, infrastructure, assessment and results of actions regarding students and the social impact.

• Analyzing current university education models for older adults.

• Suggesting answers for the potential demand that older adults are carrying out in the future, and in the framework of the European Higher Education Area and lifelong learning, which define Sorbonne Declaration (1998), Bologna Declaration (1999) and Prague Communiqué (2001).
